You should first try doing these things:

First download a software that fixes your registry. Scan your system and fix all problems.

Update your windows.

Go to the manufacturer's website, have your cd drives automaticslly detected and download and install the latest drivers.

Best of luck.

When your computer starts do you see the drives appearing when your system hardware is shown?
Also did you update your computer?

well i dunno excatly where to look for the drives on system startup but the computer does detect these drives both of them and does have their drivers i think ... i cannot update my windows as its a counterfit copy and doesnt allow me to do so... i have tried alot of things all i can think is that the windows is stuffed as it always also gave these two errors of corrupt windows files whn i log on to my PC ... i reckon i should change my windows or try installing it again over it

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard. Click Uninstall, and then click Scan for hardware changes to load a usable driver. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then select Last Known Good Configuration. This rolls back to the most recent successful registry configuration.
